Tim Williams - Solo Cornet

Tim Williams has been a part of Whitworth Vale and Healey Brass Band since 2003 and has been in different parts of the band since then. After an operation on his jaw in between 2005-2006, he moved to percussion for a short time till he was good enough to return to cornet section where he worked his way from the back row onto the front row and now sits on the 2nd chair where has had various successful periods with the band. He has also played with a few bands within the Rochdale Music Service since he was around 15yrs old and has had a chance to travel to such places like the Ukraine, Germany, Italy, Austria and many times to the National Hall of Music for Youth in London and has travelled with Whitworth Band to Germany to help entertain the people out there. He now also plays with Rochdale Community Wind Band on a Wednesday nights as principal cornet. Tim works has been a qualified fitness instructor for the past since 2008 where he has had the opportunity to work with Fitness First Rochdale. He also worked part time within the NHS for 2 and a half years as a health care assistant before successfully obtaining a job within Link4Life continuing his role as a fitness instructor where he has worked since July 2013 and successfully completed his level 3 Personal Fitness Training course in September 2013. Within his spare time he likes to go to the gym, to watch Rochdale play at home and on occasion takes his niece and nephew to and from school.
